The Customer

Boggi Milano was founded in 1939 by Paolo Boggi, with the opening of the first men’s clothing and accessories shop in Monza. After years of expansion, not only in Europe, but also in Asia, the Middle East, Russia and South America, there are now more than 220 shops in 58 countries worldwide.
The brand aims at ambitious goals at the rhythm of innovation, technology, sustainability and quality, thanks to the revolutionary concept of using raw materials with high technical performance, without renouncing stylistic research, applied to the vision of a new way of life for contemporary man.

The Request

Boggi Milano’s focus on the omnichannel dimension can be seen in the dedicated section of the website, which allows customers to shop online and offline with the same level of service. To reinforce this concept, the brand has decided to enhance the shopping experience by enabling the visualization of its iconic shoe lines in 3D and augmented reality within the product page.

The Solution

To meet Boggi’s requirements, we integrated the 3D viewer with AR within the eCommerce via iframe. The product is presented through 2D images showing different views of the shoe. On top of each photo there is an overlay with an icon referring to the 3D experience, which can be accessed via a pop-up.
Modelling was done from scratch based on still-life pictures provided by the client, with over 70 SKUs in total, including the iconic Willow sneakers in recycled polyester, the suede and buffered leather moccasins, and some of the more classic styles in different colourways.

The interactive experience accessible through the 3D Viewer allows Boggi’s customers not only to perceive the quality of the shoe in terms of materials, but also to appreciate details, such as laces, lining, stitching and sole, thanks to the zoom and the 360° rotation. In addition, the augmented reality visualization enhances user engagement, increasing both the time spent on the webpage, and the likelihood to purchase.
