The customer

Fessura’s origins date back after the Second World War, when Comm. Aldo Botticelli transformed a grain warehouse into a factory and started producing footwear. Half a century later, his grandsons Andrea, Giorgio and Marco Vecchiola founded the made-in-Marche brand that stands for design, art and technology, creating timeless, high-performance and sustainable products. The name Fessura recalls the through-holes in the sole of the CHANGE® sneakers, which were launched in 1999 and have become iconic. The logo also embodies an evolving reality, which looks to the past and, at the same time, wants to leave its mark on the present with innovative and reliable products.

The request

Fessura decided to launch the new TRAIL VTR – E15 sneaker for SS 2024 in a disruptive and engaging way, empowering customers to interact with the product in real time on eCommerce, combining the convenience of online shopping with AR visualization in their environment.

The solution

To meet customer requirements, we integrated 3DSuite 3D Viewer with AR within the Shopify CMS directly into the product page of the TRAIL VTR – E15 sneaker. Given the geographical proximity to the brand’s production site, we recreated the 3D model and its color variations starting from the physical product we received. Thanks to the ultra-realistic quality we achieved in terms of material rendering, sole and colors, online users are more aware of their purchase and can explore every detail, rotating and zooming in the shoe with a simple click.

Benefits for the customer

The immersive and innovative experience offered by Fessura on eCommerce certainly determines a competitive advantage over other footwear brands, as well as increasing the time spent on the product page. Virtualizing the collection in 3D also means cutting production and photo shoot costs by creating the color variations of the same sneaker only in digital format. Another key aspect for the brand was the reduction of the environmental impact deriving from industrialisation processes, with a reduction in CO2 emissions, thanks to the combination of 3D technologies and the adoption of cutting-edge materials.
